Brace yourself – the annual BT Career Evening hosted by PISTE is finally here!

We are thrilled to welcome you to spend an evening with the most innovative companies on the first day of February! The BT Career Evening offers you an inclusive possibility to discuss summer internships and Thesis engagements with the company representatives during the evening. Moreover, you have a brilliant opportunity to learn about the various career opportunities and job positions our selected guest companies have to offer.

The career evening will be held on the legendary premises of KY Building (Yläkertsi, 3rd floor) on Wednesday, February 1st. As the event starts at 6 o’clock, we encourage you to join us at 5:30 p.m. to mingle with your fellow students and enjoy the welcoming drinks provided by PISTE. Afterwards there will be a free Italian buffet and an open (i.e. free, for those who don’t know ;) ) bar on the house!

Dear Business Technology / Information and Service Management student,

The time has come for the board of 2011 to step aside and give room for the board of 2012. The new board will be elected on the 14th of December in an election meeting held in KY’s Marskin kabinetti (Pohjoinen Rautatienkatu 21 B, 3rd floor) starting at 19:00 o’clock.

Do you want to be one of the new board members? If yes, act according to one of these options:

1) Show up at the election meeting and when candidates are asked to step up, do that.
2) If you can’t make it to the meeting but want to be in the board, send us an application and let us know you can’t attend but would still like to be a candidate for the board 2011. You can send the application to piste@kyweb.fi

Those of you who still aren’t totally convinced about applying to the board, think about these reasons:

As a Piste board member you would…

- get to know a lot of new people; students from other Aalto Econ. majors and from other campuses, Information and service Economy department staff and company representatives through career evenings, workshops and excursions
- throw great parties (Remember much about Novemberfest…? A lot of other people don’t either.)
- learn a lot about KY and AYY and how they support the subject clubs
- be able to impact on the courses taught at the Information and Service Economy department

And last but definitely not least…

- get a great team that will work with you during the whole year and make it an unforgettable experience
