Business Technology was again highly popular in Bachelor’s program selection.
Business Technology program continues to increase its popularity among the students of Aalto University School of Economics. In the annual first-year students’ Bachelor’s program selection, in total 49 students chose BT as their first preferred choice out of seven available programs. With these figures, BT now holds the third most popular program’s place in Aalto and is quickly becoming one of the biggest programs.
There was also slight upswing compared to last spring’s numbers as 11.4% students more marked BT as their first choice. Adding this to the rather vigorous increases in past years makes us believe that students are quickly starting to realize the true value and career potential of BT studies. Although we do not have the data, it is reasonable to believe that the number of people studying BT as their minor subject has also increased similarly.
We still expect the actual number of new students starting in BT program to increase slightly since 74 students had BT as their second choice and 74 as their third choice (quite impressive numbers, too!). As always, subject club PISTE with the Department of Business Technology arranges a warm welcome to all new BT students in fall.
